Chai is all about proportion: a little too much clove and the whole batch is medicinal. Fill Grinder King with Whole Chai Spice once, and every grind comes out fresh and in balance, measured to the teaspoon.
How it’s made
- Make the blend: toss the cardamom pods, cloves, and peppercorns together. Fill Grinder King with the whole spices and close it.
- Bring the water, cinnamon sticks, and ginger to a simmer in a saucepan.
- Twist Grinder King to 2 tsp and grind the Whole Chai Spice into the pot.
- Simmer 10 minutes. Add the tea bags, turn off the heat, and steep 5 minutes.
- Strain, stir in the sweetener, and cool. Keeps in the fridge for 1 week.
- To serve, mix 1 part concentrate with 1 part hot milk.
